Overview

The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team by assisting with a variety of administrative and recruiting-related tasks while gaining hands-on exposure to core HR functions. This role will help coordinate job openings, scheduling interviews, and support onboarding activities as needed. The intern will also assist with general HR administrative duties, including organizing files, updating documents, preparing reports, and supporting employee engagement initiatives. This position provides the opportunity to learn about HR best practices, recruitment processes, and workplace compliance while collaborating with team members across the organization

Responsibilities

Recruiting Support

  • Assist with posting job openings on internal and external job boards.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Assist with preparing interview materials and candidate packets.
  • Assist with pre-hire processes.
  • Support onboarding activities, including preparing new hire paperwork and welcome materials.

 

Human Resources Administration

 

  • Organize and maintain employee files and HR documents, both digital and physical.
  • Assist in updating HR spreadsheets, databases, and reports.
  • Help prepare HR communications, memos, and documentation as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including scanning, copying, and filing.
  • Assist with tracking training completion, employee engagement activities, and event logistics.

 

General Support & Learning

 

  • Participate in HR team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
  • Support HR projects related to compliance, employee relations, and policy updates.
  • Gain exposure to various HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and employee engagement.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and classified as a junior or senior.
  • Foundational knowledge of HR principles, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
