Overview

The Digital Banking Intern will support Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union’s Online Banking Conversion initiatives by assisting with system testing, quality assurance, and user experience evaluation. This role provides hands-on exposure to digital banking platforms, third-party integrations, and Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) functionality while collaborating with the Digital Services team. The intern will help identify and document system issues, support re-testing efforts, and contribute to delivering a seamless digital experience for members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with online banking platform testing, including multiple third-party integrations such as Bill Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Business Banking, Online Account Opening, Loan Applications, and Help Desk Messaging.
  • Participate in ITM (Interactive Teller Machine) testing, including collaborative testing sessions with Digital Services staff to process transactions via live video feed.
  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) testing within a controlled test environment to validate system functionality and performance.
  • Provide detailed visual and user experience feedback regarding the look, feel, and functionality of digital banking platforms.
  • Identify, document, and report bugs or inconsistencies, ensuring accurate tracking and clear communication with project leads.
  • Perform re-testing following system updates or corrections to confirm successful resolution.
  • Support the Digital Services team with additional project-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  •  Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field and classified as a junior or senior.
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  •  Basic understanding of online banking systems or financial technology preferred.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document findings.
  •  Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
