Loan Processing & File Management
- Receive and review new loan applications in the Loan Origination System (LOS), ensuring data integrity and completeness.
- Own the loan file from submission to closing, proactively tracking milestones, conditions, and deadlines.
- Analyze documentation for accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance prior to underwriting and closing.
- Maintain clear, well-organized electronic and physical files in accordance with audit and retention standards.
Verifications, Orders & Vendor Coordination
- Initiate and manage third-party services including verifications of employment/income, title requests and reviews, appraisals, flood certifications, insurance, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with appraisers, title companies, insurance agents, attorneys, and other vendors to ensure timely delivery and compliance with service-level expectations.
- Review reports and commitments for discrepancies and escalate issues as needed.
Member & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for members during processing, clearly communicating document needs, status updates, and next steps.
- Partner closely with Loan Officers, Underwriters, and Closing staff to resolve conditions and facilitate on-time closings.
- Provide professional support via phone and electronic communication, ensuring a high-quality member experience.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, investor, and internal policies, including TRID timelines and disclosure requirements.
- Monitor critical dates and regulatory deadlines to prevent funding delays or compliance exceptions.
- Identify potential risks or missing information and take corrective action proactively.
Operations & Team Support
- Prioritize multiple files simultaneously while meeting productivity and service standards.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and member satisfaction.
- Support departmental initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
