The Recovery Specialist (Loans and Overdraft Privileges) has the responsibility of contacting members in person, by telephone, through mail and by use of legal channels if necessary. The primary focus is to collect charged-off loans and overdraft privilege losses. With collection of outstanding loans and overdraft privilege losses the Recovery Specialist must update the loan balances, establish recovery plans, and notify credit reporting agencies accordingly. The Recovery Specialist must thoroughly document all collection conversations in the collections systems. He or she must be familiar with Collection laws and practices as well as the small claims court process. The Recovery Specialist must provide quality service with diplomacy and accuracy while projecting a positive, “people helping people” credit union image.   Required Hours Monday - (8:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.), Tuesday and Wednesday (8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.), Thursday (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.), Friday (8:30 a.m. – 6:10p.m.) and two Saturday's per month (8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.).
